When we redid our course a few years ago, we decided to separate systems of equations and inequalities. We found that students really had a lot of trouble doing both at the same time, so we just made it a separate unit and it has worked out well. I left myself a note for next year when I copy the pages to do them on white, so when they shade and I shade it is easier to see if we used various colors of highlighters. I also have some signs I'm going to put up to help students remember if we use solid or dashed lines from Math = Love. I'll link next year when I post about it. |
Lesson 1: Graphing Linear Inequalities
I love doing this lesson. I love graphing and shading and what not! Like I posted before, I need to make sure I copies these on white paper next time so they can shade with any color and not just other colors besides yellow. I have so many yellow highlighters and not as many colored ones.
When I teach this, I use the test point method so they can know which side to graph.

Lesson 2: Graphing Systems of Linear Inequalities
I must have remembered to copy this foldable on white when I did these or I ran out of colored paper in the copier and I just happened to get a white one when I did the foldable with my students. I found this foldable as notes and I just made it into a foldable for our journals.
